Today marks the third day of the 12 Days of Dreaming.
In Norse and Heathen traditions, this day is often dedicated to Máni, the god of the moon, and the virtue of courage.
Máni
As the moon deity, Máni is revered for illuminating the night and guiding those who navigate the darkness. Honoring Máni today reminds us that light persists even in the darkest of times, offering guidance and reassurance as we move through life’s challenges.
The Virtue of Courage
Courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to act rightly in the face of it. This virtue calls us to reflect on our strengths and the ways courage manifests in both the extraordinary and the everyday. It’s an opportunity to honor the bravery it takes to move forward, even when uncertainty looms.
This day also looks ahead to March and the Spring Equinox—the time of rebirth and renewal at winter’s end.

Thinking forward to March the tarot card drawn to represent this month is —The Emperor.
March Tarot Card: The Emperor
For March, I drew The Emperor, a card that complements February’s Fool. While The Fool embodies fearless exploration and new beginnings, The Emperor channels that energy into vision, structure, and leadership.
The Emperor is a Pioneer, Builder, and Visionary. He creates stability, security, and a strong foundation for future generations. His decisions arise from the harmonious union of mind, body, and spirit, reflecting strength tempered with sensitivity.
For women, The Emperor often speaks to inner leadership and the power of the developed masculine energy within. This suggests the need for relationships that challenge and inspire—partners as strong, or stronger, than oneself to maintain respect and engagement.
The Emperor invites us to:
- Own and embody our leadership.
- Stay grounded in our power while embracing new opportunities.
- Build with responsibility, creativity, and courage.
Like The Fool, The Emperor reminds us of the necessity to let go and step forward boldly, balancing fearless exploration with the structure and foresight of a true leader.
Affirmation:
“I enjoy starting and initiating projects. I value and honor my leadership ability. I am a good facilitator. I am responsible and creative human.”
Always,
