It is day 7 of the 12 Days of Dreaming.
On the seventh day of Yule, we honor Thor, the mighty protector of Midgard, who embodies strength, guardianship, and unwavering loyalty. Known as the “Feast of Thor,” this day invites us to reflect on the Norse virtue of Fidelity—faithfulness to our family, friends, and community.
Fidelity is about honoring commitments and fostering trust, just as Thor faithfully defends humanity with his steadfast strength. In the spirit of this day, we are called to nurture our relationships, reaffirm our connections, and strengthen the bonds that anchor us to one another.
According to Icelandic and Norse traditions, Day 7 is a time to reflect on the lessons and legacies of those who came before us. Showing gratitude for generational wisdom by acknowledging the strength, sacrifices, and gifts passed down through the generations as well as healing generational patterns.
As we cross the midpoint of Yule, we are reminded to cherish our connections—both to the past and the present. Fidelity teaches us the power of steadfast bonds, while ancestral reverence grounds us in gratitude for the foundation they provide. Together, these themes encourage us to strengthen relationships and honor our roots.
This day we also think ahead to July. The tarot card pulled for July is The World. This card represents completion, fulfillment, and unity. It reminds us to embrace the harmony in our journey, celebrate how far we’ve come, and remain open to the endless possibilities that await.

The World: The Completion, The Initiator
The World is a space where completion and initiation coexist—a powerful moment of transformation that invites us to embrace change. It speaks to our commitment to growth and evolution, reminding us that as one chapter closes, another begins. This card embodies the principle of totality, the journey to individuation and wholeness, and the dynamic interplay of endings and beginnings.
At the heart of The World is the “world dancer,” the figure who celebrates the culmination of the Fool’s journey. This final stop reflects the wholeness that comes from life’s lessons, urging us to learn, grow, and move forward with a deeper understanding of who we are. It represents dynamic flow—the ever-moving cycle of life—and calls us to engage with our potential. With an open heart and secure sense of self, we are invited to embrace what comes with both playfulness and intention.
The World often signals the culmination of a project, the end of a cycle, or a significant breakthrough. But this is not a static conclusion; it’s a moment of integration, where the inner work we’ve done unifies opposing forces within us. It’s a card of opportunity that urges us to resist rigid plans and instead stay curious about what lies ahead.
This card invites us to triumph—not just in the external world, but within ourselves. It reflects a state of nirvana, the harmony of polarities, and the union of multiple aspects of our being. At its essence, The World is about feeling at home both in the external world and within your own skin. It encourages full, uninhibited self-expression, guiding you to let go and move forward simultaneously.
The World teaches us that completion is not the end—it’s the start of something new, a fresh opportunity to expand and engage with life from a place of wholeness and wonder.
