A Chakra Journey Inspired by Women of Myth and History

Print by Ventsislav Vasilev

As I have been on my own journey of self-empowerment, I grapple with the dichotomy of embracing my attractiveness, desirability, and beauty, and the societal fear associated with these traits.

It has been a recent realization that I have both a sense of unworthiness in regards embracing these qualities within my self, but also fear of the potential implications.

To navigate this, the imagery of powerful women from myth and history keeps visiting me and encouraging me draw upon their strength. Historically, women who have dared to assert their desirability, strength, and power have been met with fear, judgment, and vilification. Yet these women stood tall, unyielding, inspiring others to do the same.

Each woman resonates with a different chakra within me, guiding me to celebrate and honor my inherent beauty and power.

The Siren, Medusa, Morgaine, Lilith, Hypatia of Alexandria, Joan of Arc, and Mary Magdalene – who have inspired me to fully step into my power and embrace my beauty and desirability.

Each woman resonates with a different chakra within me, guiding me to celebrate and honor my inherent desirability, attractiveness, and beauty.

Root Chakra (I am) – Medusa: Medusa, a symbol of strength and resilience, aligns with my Root Chakra, grounding me in feelings of safety and stability. As I focus on this chakra, I affirm: “I am safe to be attractive, desirable, and beautiful. I am grounded. Like Medusa, I am unafraid and strong, turning fear into power.”

Sacral Chakra (I feel) – Lilith: Channeling the energy of Lilith, who asserted her rights and independence, I connect with my Sacral Chakra, the center of creativity and personal power. As I engage with this chakra, I declare: “I feel attractive, desirable, and beautiful. Like Lilith, I trust my instincts and affirm my right to be desirable.”

Solar Plexus Chakra (I have) – Morgaine: Morgaine, an emblem of intelligence and individuality, resonates with my Solar Plexus Chakra, the core of self-esteem and empowerment. As I tap into this chakra, I assert: “I have confidence in my own beauty and desirability. Like Morgaine, I celebrate my individuality and intelligence.”

Heart Chakra (I love) – Mary Magdalene: With the spirit of Mary Magdalene, a figure of love, compassion, and acceptance, I engage my Heart Chakra. As I connect with this chakra, I affirm: “I love myself and my innate beauty. Like Mary, I embrace my worth with love and kindness.”

Throat Chakra (I speak) – The Siren: The Siren, known for her unapologetic expression, aligns with my Throat Chakra, the center of communication and truth. As I focus on this chakra, I declare: “I speak with confidence and authority. Like the Siren, I use my voice powerfully and authentically.”

Third Eye Chakra (I see) – Hypatia of Alexandria: Hypatia, a beacon of wisdom and enlightenment, embodies the essence of my Third Eye Chakra, representing intuition and insight. As I connect with this chakra, I affirm: “I see through my intuitive lens and trust the insight. Like Hypatia, I trust in the power of my inner wisdom and foresight.”

Crown Chakra (I know) – Joan of Arc: Joan of Arc, a figure of spiritual conviction and faith, resonates with my Crown Chakra, symbolizing spiritual connection and enlightenment. As I tap into this chakra, I declare: “I know that I am connected with all aspects of myself, including my beauty and desirability. Like Joan, I have faith in my path and the guidance it provides.”

This chakra journey, guided by these inspiring women, illuminates my path to fully embrace and own my beauty, attractiveness, and desirability. I am learning to trust my intuition, discern admiration from objectification, and stand in my power.

Like these women, I am writing my narrative, celebrating my power. It’s not just my turn to be beautiful, attractive, and desirable – it is my inherent right.

By affirming these truths, I embrace my journey, stepping further into my power every day.

Always,
