Choosing What We See

What are you searching for?

Throughout my life, I was haunted by the belief that I was unlovable. This narrative shaped my reality, pulling me into relationships with partners who were distant, disloyal, or even hurtful. Every betrayal or heartbreak seemed to confirm that I truly was unlovable, creating a vicious cycle that fed on my darkest fears.

But two key realizations changed everything for me:

  1. Control Over My Thoughts: Negative thoughts will come, but it’s my choice whether to let them take root. Every time doubt whispers that I’m a failure or unlovable, I visualize flicking it away. Instead, I nurture beliefs that empower and uplift me. That I’m resilient, intelligent, and deserving of love.
  2. Letting Go of Future-Tripping: Anxiety is a tax I no longer wish to pay. Obsessing over future outcomes only breeds stress, robbing me of the joy of the present. I’ve learned to release my need to control every outcome, finding peace in the present instead.

The mind’s lens is powerful. It can amplify our darkest fears or brightest hopes. The brain’s “priming” mechanism ensures that what we focus on, we manifest. If we’re constantly wary of betrayal or hurt, our actions, fueled by these beliefs, can often lead to those very outcomes.

So, dear friend, I circle back to my initial question: What are you truly seeking?

Because our beliefs shape our reality. If you seek love, beauty, and magic, and truly believe in them, you’ll find them all around you.

Always,

Your Trusted Friend ❤︎
