Day 7: Blooming Affection – Waning Crescent in Capricorn

Dear Blossoming Soul,

The waning crescent phase of the moon is the period just before the new moon, characterized by a decreasing illuminated area that you can see in the above photo.

During this time, the moon is transitioning from full illumination to complete darkness of the New Moon that will take place on the 9th of February. It signifies a time for reflection, release, and letting go of what no longer serves us. You’ll notice that this has been the theme for the last several days as the moon has gotten smaller and smaller.

With the waning moon in Capricorn, it adds an element of practicality and determination. Capricorn is an earth sign associated with discipline, structure, and ambition. This combination points to the need for a strategic approach to letting go of the past, with a focus on practical solutions.

The theme of Day 7 is BLOOMING AFFECTION which asks us to explore those relationships that bring warmth and joy to our lives.

By reflecting on these relationships and highlighting what brings joy into our lives we are also invited to let go of connections that lack affection and warmth.

The focus is on fostering those relationships that encourage mutual growth, where individuals push each other to bloom into their best selves. For relationships are acts of self-love, an invitation to celebrate those that empower and uplift.

The theme for Day 7 aligns with the waning crescent’s energy, urging us to release what no longer contributes to our well-being. It prompts us to embrace connections that nurture both our personal growth and the collective blossoming of those around us.

Today’s self-love rituals have you taking time to REFLECT, TEA, TAROT.

from The Rose Oracle by Rebecca Campbell

The day 7 oracle card, HELD, speaks of the challenging times when life is turbulent. It guides us toward seeking community and finding stable anchors to hold onto during such inevitable periods of difficulty. This card serves as a poignant reminder that in the emptiness and darkness, we often find profound connections and support. As Rebecca Campbell expressed in the Oracle guidebook, “We discover that what we thought was a tomb is actually a womb,” suggests that even in tough times, there is potential for rebirth and growth.

Today, under the theme of BLOOMING AFFECTION, our focus is on appreciating relationships that bring warmth and affection into our lives. The HELD card becomes a beautiful reminder that amidst the challenges, there are unseen forces, people, and roots providing support on our journey toward blooming. It urges us to acknowledge those who may not immediately come to mind but play a vital role in holding and supporting us. Even in moments when we feel alone, the card suggests that we are always held, particularly during the darker and more difficult phases of life.

Let HELD remind us throughout the 29-day journey to appreciate and acknowledge the silent supporters and stable roots in our lives. In the moments of darkness, trust that you are held.
