Dear Blossoming Soul,

For a long time, I thought this day was only about romantic partnership. And while I don’t want to dismiss or diminish that kind of love, I still want it, I’m no longer willing to exclude myself from the celebration just because I’m not currently partnered.

This year, Valentine’s Day feels less about longing and more about intention.

It’s about curating the kind of love I want to live inside of.
The kind that is honest, sustainable, and rooted in reality.
The kind that has room to grow when it arrives because the ground has already been tended.

A friend asked me recently if I’d been dating. I haven’t. She’s in a new relationship now, and she told me she felt it coming before it arrived. She said she feels that same sense for me.

I don’t know when love will find me in that way again.
But I do know this: I’m no longer building my life around its absence.

Today isn’t about predicting love.
It’s about choosing to live in alignment with it.

To release old ideas of how it’s supposed to arrive.
To commit to what is real and nourishing now.
To trust that what’s meant to grow will find its way to well-prepared soil.

This Valentine’s Day, I’m choosing love as a practice, not a prize.

This is the tending today.
