Sacred Rose

Day 26: Waxing Gibbous in Cancer

Dear Blossoming Soul,

How many things do I want that I don’t let myself voice, let along think about.

Why?

Because if I accept these things, if I let them land, if I get used to them being here… what happens when they leave?

What happens if I open my hands and they’re suddenly empty again?

So sometimes I don’t fully accept what I desire.
Because then I don’t have to grieve it.
I don’t have to risk disappointment.
I don’t have to admit how much it matters.

But the truth is, I do want to be seen.
Noticed.
Admired.
Respected.
Loved.

Today, I’m practicing letting the good thing stay.
At least for this moment.
Without the awkward laugh.
Without rushing past it.

This is the tending today.

BROTHERS OF THE ROSE

Her medicine today is sacred masculine.
Honor. Protection. Support.

I can’t imagine a more fitting card for a day devoted to wanting without apology and receiving without flinching.

This card speaks to the sacred masculine that exists alongside the sacred feminine within all of us. The part that knows how to show up with steadiness. With reverence. With care that does not need to dominate or disappear.

The sacred masculine lives in devotion to what is tender.
It protects without controlling.
It supports without withdrawing.

While this card speaks to an inner balance, it also feels like an invitation to notice this energy in the world around me. To allow myself to see and receive healthy, grounded presence when it appears.

And this is where the work deepens.

Because I have trouble believing the masculine will show up for me.
Or stay.

Some part of me is still braced for absence. For inconsistency. For disappearing acts dressed up as inevitability.

Today, Brothers of the Rose asks me to loosen that brace.

To remember that support can be real.
That devotion can be steady.
That protection doesn’t have to be temporary.

And that I am allowed to receive it.

Always,
Your Trusted Friend 🌹
