12 Days of Dreaming

August: Interference

If July was arrival, August asks me to notice where I still hold myself back.

The Eight of Swords is a mirror of my mind…
its loops, its tangles, its rehearsed doubts.
Not an external prison, but the invisible walls of belief.

The card shows a woman bound and blindfolded,
but if she took a breath and stepped back,
she’d see the ties are loose.

The swords don’t cage her; her fear does.

This is the month of interference.
Not from the world outside, but from within.
The second-guessing, the replaying of conversations,
the over-analysis that turns clarity into fog.
The temptation to control a story before it’s written.

But the Eight of Swords whispers:
You are not trapped.
You are not powerless.
You are only caught in your own weaving.

So August becomes my invitation to release the overthinking,
to step out of my own way.
To let patience soften the grip of fear.
To remember that waiting is also a choice, and trust is an action.

This month I’ll ask:
– Where am I rehearsing limitations that don’t belong to me anymore?
– What beliefs need to be unbound, released, rewritten?
– How can I trust timing instead of trying to force clarity before it arrives?

Because interference dissolves in the presence of faith.
And clarity comes when I stop chasing it.

The Eight of Swords teaches me:
Sometimes the most empowered act is stillness.
Not to solve the riddle with my mind,
but to let my body and spirit breathe beyond it.

And so I walk August with softer steps, untangling myself from the old knots, loosening the blindfold, choosing trust over turmoil.

Because I am not here to stay bound.
I am here to step free.

Always,

Your Trusted Friend ❤︎

Lay the cards left to right: Blindfold → Key → Path.

Journal what comes up for each: where are you binding yourself with old stories or limiting beliefs, and how can you release and loosen these binds?

End by naming one concrete step you’ll take this month to honor your clarity over illusion.

Trust your intuition as you interpret the cards and embrace the opportunities for emotional richness and personal development that these months have to offer.
