January was about Adjustment. The small tweaks and calibrations required to maintain balance. It was active movement rooted in awareness. Reflection paired with the willingness to make subtle, necessary changes. Not dramatic shifts, but honest ones.
February feels different.
Slightly heavier. Not in a bad way, but in a way that asks for depth.
It feels like a cleansing.
A removal of what no longer fits or functions in order to restore harmony within the heart.
Every February has carried a quiet hopefulness for me. Years ago, someone once told me I would meet my romantic partner in this month. I don’t know whether that was meant as prophecy, metaphor, or simply a mirror for my own longing. What I do know is that February has long held the weight of expectation.
And this year, I’m learning how to hold hope without letting it brace me against disappointment.
What a meaningful promise for February, a month so often associated with love, romance, and the archetype of The Lovers.
The energy of this month is not about returning to the past, but about gaining perspective on it. About recognizing how old memories, wounds, and attachments have quietly shaped the way I see the world and choosing to relate to them differently now.
I’ve only recently become aware of how much my past hurts have acted as a lens through which I experience the present. How they’ve made sitting in hope feel like a threat rather than a possibility. How joy has sometimes felt provisional, as if it needed to be guarded against.
February feels like a promise to consciously change my relationship with my history.
Not to erase it.
Not to romanticize it.
But to loosen its grip.
This is about stepping away from old emotional patterns that once made sense but no longer serve. About releasing nostalgia where it has kept me tethered, and making space for something new to form that is rooted in choice rather than conditioning.
This is not the innocence of love remembered.
It is the integrity of love chosen.
A quiet detoxing of the heart, so truth can surface.
So joy can evolve without fear.
So love can exist in its present form, unburdened by what it once had to be.
This is the work I’ll be tending through the Sacred Rose all February.
Always,
Your Trusted Friend ❤︎
