Radical Acceptance
What struck me today was the importance of radical acceptance, of the ability of accurately seeing whatever lurks before and within me, and accepting it for what it is. Not dressing it up in niceties or false hope; but holding it in my arms, feeling it in my body, moving through it, and letting it go.
To Be Chosen
We want to be chosen. To have someone who loves us as we are, has seen the flaws and weaknesses, and wants us because these nuances are part of what make us beautiful, and wonderful and delightful. To truly have someone see all the parts that make us uniquely us. To take the time to peal back the layers and say yes.
Broken Pieces
Friend, most of the time we’re merely broken people, stumbling around breaking other people. We are careless with our words, our actions, and our deeds. Seldom taking notice of what matters, what is important, and what could make us whole until after we’ve destroyed it.
Layaway
We can allow ourselves to be put on layaway every time we accept the smaller payments, or the crumbs, with the hope that eventually there will be some sort of pay off for your patience, love, kindness and understanding.
