It’s Okay
There are a couple of things I've had to learn and accept as truth. 1. It's okay to not know everything. In a world that constantly bombards us with information and opinions, it's easy to feel like we should have all the answers. But the truth is, none of us do. Life is full of… Continue reading It’s Okay
Identity
I can't help but wonder about the complexities of identity. Who we are is not always easy to define, and our sense of self can be shaped by a multitude of factors. But as we navigate the waters of identity, there is one aspect that often goes overlooked -- the relationship with ourselves. How we… Continue reading Identity
Love Cannot Rescue
If we are looking to other people, places, things, or experiences to bring us happiness, peace, joy, and love we will always end up disappointed and let down. While all of these things, particularly our relationships with others, have great potential to enrich our lives in numerous ways, none of these things can ultimately offer… Continue reading Love Cannot Rescue
Embrace Embarrassment
We all make mistakes, say things we don't mean, or have awkward social moments and all of these can result in embarrassment. Jobs I'd applied for that seemed a perfect fit passed me over. All things I wrapped my hope and vision of my future around that… Continue reading It’s Just a Detour

On my own journey of wellness, introspection, and self-awareness I remember hearing this quote by Tasha Eurich in a TED talk. Her findings came down to one very important distinction between those who really were… Continue reading The Mind Trap
The Worrying Mind
Photo by Uday Mittal on Unsplash Our mind is a powerful tool, friend. We can sit and and ponder the intricacies of the universe, the inner workings of the human heart, and the deeper meaning of life itself. More often, though, we get caught in worry, planning, or any slew of random things that tend to pop into… Continue reading The Worrying Mind
Brand New
Photo by Ray Hennessy on Unsplash Have you committed to perpetual growth, friend? The kind that has you striving for the kind of evolution that requires shedding again, and again, and again. A commitment to growth can come at a price, however. There will be people who cannot or will not grow with you. People who are stuck… Continue reading Brand New
Held Hostage
We hold ourselves hostage in so many areas of our lives. Locking ourselves away in mental prisons. Prisons erected within our own minds, carefully built stone by stone from the wreckage of the failures of our past, the heavy stones of overwhelming anxiety that comes from the things we cannot change, and mortar of debilitation caused by the unknown.
